I know mothers are biased, but on this occasion it’s all true. Lara has written such a beautiful, moving song and sung it to me on Skype tonight I actually had to do stifle a few tears. That girl is really talented, doesn’t take drugs, and  has only got 3 small star tattoos on her shoulder which she may secretly regret. I’m not saying anything  else, all is in the unsaid, but watch this space. I might be picking and choosing who I offer  VIP seats and exclusive interviews to. By the way I’ve got a long memory, or used to have.
I had a sax lesson this evening and we’re now on Take Five, which is so cool, just really running up the C Blues scale, and then we improvised with Frank on the piano. So much better than going to the Britney concert.
On a more serious note we have to talk turtles. I am preoccupied with thinking about how I can raise the money to send a very tough looking, SAS trained, marine biologist into Tobago to compile a detailed report on the slaughter of leaterback turtles there. It’s a horrendous, hideously cruel thing and these creatures are in grave danger of extinction. When I describe what it was like to see a 540 kilo female drag ehrself up the dark beach one night to lay her eggs,  you’ll understand why I care. You do too. It’s just getting it together to do something about it.
Please send me any ideas or ways you think you can help, I am in the development stage as they say, but nesting season ends at the ed of July this year so we have to act quickly
